1.) What are the Proton car models covered by the Power Window Lifetime

All NEW and current Proton models under the manufacturer's warranty as at 1 Septtember 2011 will be covered by the Power Window Lifetime Warranty, subject to PROTON's terms and conditions. Current Proton models that are covered are the Proton Wira, Perdana, Waja, Iswara, Savvy, Gen•2, Satria Neo, Persona, Saga, Exora and Inspira.

2.) What are PROTON's terms and conditions?

You must fully comply with the recommended periodical service maintenance as specified in the Service Booklet to be conducted at any authorised PROTON service centres. At PROTON, all of our parts and components are genuine and they comply with the government regulations relating to vehicle safety and environmental controls.

3.) How many times can I claim under the Power Window Lifetime Warranty?

The Power Window Lifetime Warranty offers unlimited number of claims within then (10) years of a customer's vehicle age or 250,000km from the car's registration date (whichever comes first), subject to PROTON's terms and conditions.

4.) What are the documents that I am required to have in order to be eligible for the Power Window Lifetime Warranty?

Any Proton model which is registered before 31 August 2011 and is still under the manufacturer's warranty as at 1 September 2011 will require a valid Power Window System Warranty Registration. For models registered after 1 September 2011, the Power Window Lifetime Warranty is already part of the new Service Booklet.

5.) If my car is registered before 31 August 2011, how can I obtain the Power Window System Warranty Registration?

You are advised to book an appointment at an authorised PROTON service centre to get the Power Window System Warranty Registration. In order to be eligible for this certificate, your car must be under the manufacturer's warranty as at 1 September 2011 and you must also comply with PROTON's terms and conditions. You will also need to produce a valid Service Booklet with a valid PROTON authorised service stamp to prove your eligibility.

6.) Why do I need to get my power window components serviced at authorised PROTON service centres?

At authorised PROTON service centres, we will ensure that your power window is inspected and serviced during each service interval as part of our quality requirement.

7.) Where should I go in order to claim and enjoy the benefits of the Power Window Lifetime Warranty?

You can claim your Power Window Lifetime Warranty benefits from all authorised PROTON service centres nationwide.

8.) Is this Power Window Lifetime Warranty transferable to the new owner if I sell my car?

Yes. This Power Window Lifetime Warranty is transferable to second and subsequent owners, as long as the car is within ten (10) years or 250,000km from its registration date, subject to PROTON's terms and conditions.

9.) Do I need to pay for this Power Window Lifetime Warranty?

The warranty will come at no charge and it will cover all labour and parts costs, but only for the power window components that are warranty-covered. However, normal charges for the periodical service maintenance still apply.
